Effects of Metallicity on Mode Switching in Cepheids

چکیده
The mode switching in Cepheids is studied using the methods of nonlinear theory stellar pulsation, depending on main sequence mass $$M_{0}$$ and abundance elements heavier than helium $$Z$$ . grid evolutionary hydrodynamic models core–helium burning represented by 30 sequences stars with initial masses $$5.7M_{\odot}\leq M_{0}\leq 7.2M_{\odot}$$ $$Z=0.014$$ , 0.018, 0.022. For considered values periods fundamental first overtone at oscillation are shown to depend mean density matter. upper limit period decreases increasing from $${\approx}6.9$$ days for $${\approx}4.1$$ $$Z=0.022$$ theoretical period–radius relation independent agrees well (within 2.5 $$\%$$ ) recent measurements Cepheid radii based Baade–Wesselink method. parameters short–period CG Cas were derived application observational estimates rate change. This star be first–overtone pulsator.

the effect analysis of proficiency on language - switching in iranian efl learners writing
abstract in a protocol analysis of second language writing from 20 adult english as a foreign language (efl) iranian students, this research observed how language-switching (l-s), i.e., first language use in l2 writing, was affected by l2 proficiency. switching interactively between first (l1) and second (l2) languages has been recognized as one of the salient characteristics of l2 writing....

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
Theoretical models for classical Cepheids VII. Metallicity effects on the Cepheid distance scale
We use theoretical Period-Luminosity and Period-Luminosity-Color relations in the V I passbands, as based on nonlinear, nonlocal and time-dependent convective pulsating models, to predict the reddening and true distance modulus of distant Cepheids observed with the Hubble Space Telescope. By relying on the pulsating models with metal content Z=0.008, we find that the theoretical predictions agr...
متن کاملBeat Cepheids as Probes of Stellar and Galactic Metallicity
The mere location of a Beat Cepheid model in a Period Ratio vs. Period diagram (Petersen diagram) puts very tight constraints on its metallicity Z. The Beat Cepheid Peterson diagrams are revisited with linear nonadiabatic turbulent convective models, and their accuracy as a probe for stellar metallicity is evaluated. They are shown to be largely independent of the helium content Y , and they ar...
